A workshop on Leeds Road
We work from a small kitchen workshop and showroom on Leeds Road in Harrogate. The workshop and the showroom are the same building, so while you are choosing cabinets and finishes you can hear the machines and see them being made. Nothing here is bought in and rebadged — every cabinet is built in-frame, in solid timber, by the people you meet when you come in.
The team is small enough that the person who designs your kitchen is the person who prices it. There is no sales desk and no project handover. The same person measures your room, draws it, works out what it costs and sees it through to fitting, so nothing gets lost between a quote and the job on site.
What we make things from
Solid tulipwood
Stable, takes paint beautifully, what almost all our painted cabinets are built from.
European oak
For drawer boxes in every kitchen we make, and for door fronts in the Line range.
Walnut
Used sparingly, usually for an island or a run of open shelves.
Brass
Solid rather than plated on every hinge, knob and pull, because plating wears through.
Visiting the studio
A design consultation is booked ahead and takes 90 minutes, but anyone is welcome to walk in and look round while the workshop is open. You will see cabinets in paint, doors part-finished and drawers dovetailed by hand, which is the quickest way to tell the difference between made and assembled.
