How a Marlbeck kitchen gets made
Most of what goes wrong with a kitchen goes wrong before anything is built. This is how we try to stop that.

The consultation
90 minutes, £750 refunded against your orderWhat happens
we go through how you actually use the room, what has to stay, what you have already bought. We sketch on paper in front of you.
What you leave with
a written price range for your project, and the drawing.

Survey and drawings
usually within two weeksWhat happens
we measure the room properly, including the things that catch people out — floor levels, window reveals, where the soil pipe runs.
What you leave with
scale elevations and a plan.
- 03
The fixed price
What happens
we price every cabinet, every piece of ironmongery, the worktop, the painting and the fitting. One number.
What you leave with
a written quotation that does not move unless you change the design.
- 04
Making
ten to twelve weeksWhat happens
your cabinets are built in-frame in the workshop, then hand-painted. You are welcome to come and see them part-built, and most people do.
- 05
Fitting
eight to twelve working daysWhat happens
our own joiners, not subcontractors. One fitter leads the job from first day to last.
- 06
Afterwards
What happens
we come back at six weeks to adjust doors and drawers once everything has settled. Timber moves. That visit is included.
