Terms of Service

The design consultation is a 90-minute appointment at our studio on Leeds Road, Harrogate. It costs £750, which is refunded in full against the price of your kitchen if you place an order. If you do not order, the fee covers the drawing and the written price range you receive, and those are yours to keep.

Any price range given before a survey is an indication, not a quotation. A fixed price is given in writing once we have surveyed the room and drawn it. That quotation does not move unless you change the design. It is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued.

An order is placed when you accept the written quotation and pay the deposit. The deposit is 30 per cent of the quoted price, with the balance due in agreed stages through making and fitting. The design fee is deducted from the total at the point of order.

Lead time from sign-off of the drawings to the first day of fitting is typically ten to twelve weeks. Fitting on site takes eight to twelve working days and is carried out by our own joiners, not subcontractors.

Before we begin making, you may change the design and we will re-price it. Once timber has been cut, changes carry a cost, and we will tell you what that cost is in writing before we carry out the change.

Timber moves as it settles into a room. We return at six weeks after fitting to adjust doors and drawers, and that visit is included in the price. It is not an additional charge.

We carry public liability and product liability insurance. Our liability for any defect in the work we carry out is limited to the cost of putting that defect right. We are not liable for work carried out by others, including your own builder, or for appliances, sinks, taps and flooring we have not supplied.
